How to add video to my parent profile or blog entry?
This how to guide does not cover making, editing or uploading the video to YouTube.com that is covered at www.google.com/support/youtube
After you have uploaded your video to YouTube.com you will see a link called URL.
Copy the URL to your clip board.
Edit or create your blog/parent profile.
Once you have the cursor where you want the video, select the red YouTube icon from the tool bar.
Paste the URL into the pop-up. It must be in the following format. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Crk97pLTFzg and press Insert.
How do I add images to my blog or parent profile?
You can add images to any location that has the toolbar containing the tree icon. Create a new blog or parent profile or edit a existing one and select the tree icon.
If the image is hosted on another website you can enter the "Image URL" or select the icon to the right to upload a image from your computer.
You now see a list of image you already uploaded. Select "Browse" to upload a new image.
Locate the image on your computer and select "Open"
Now select "Upload File" and you will transfer the image to your account. Select "add" on the image you want in your post.
I forgot my password, how do I reset or request a new password?
You can use this from to request a new password. It will automaicly be sent to you via e-mail.

Do I need to create or own the video I want to use it in my blog or profile?
No. Feel free to link to any video you want in your blog.
For example, in your blog you could write about how crazy the world is and use this video as a example.

Can I use video hosting services such as Google or Metacafe?
Yes, you may use whoever you want unless they play advertisements before your clip that ParentGallery deems inappropriate. Just use the embedded code offered by most video services. ParentGallery will be adding official support for other video services soon.
Why is my video disappearing or not playing?
If YouTube is having problems, then the video will not appear in the post. This is only temporary and you do not need to do anything to correct the problem.
Why does my parent profile now show up when I do a search?
It takes one hour after approval for new profiles to be included in search results.
What are the "Parent Profile Tags"?
The more a word is used as a tag, the larger it gets. By selecting a word from the tag cloud, it will show profiles that have been tagged with that word. It is another way to search profiles.
After you select a word from the "Parent Profile Tags," the list below the tag cloud will refine your search even more. For example, if you select "texas" and view 10 profiles, then select "christian" from the list below the tag cloud it will now only show parent profiles that are in Texas AND are Christians.
How can I prevent being solicited or scammed by releasing my phone number and e-mail?
I would suggest using the phone and e-mail information of your adoption agency, lawyer, or facilitator. They already have experience in detecting fraud and scammers. Before you use their number, you should contact them so they know to expect calls from birth moms that are already interested in your profile.
Where can I edit my public phone number and e-mail?
Your public phone number and e-mail is located on the "My Account" link on the left after you log-in.
How can I edit my parent profile after it is already submitted?
Log-in.
View your parent profile
Click the edit tab.
When you are done, it will go back for review and, if approved, it will be posted back on ParentGallery.com
Am I required to create my parent profile immediately after I register?
No. You can log-in at anytime and create your parent profile.
I finished the registration and created my profile. Why is it not showing up?
All parent profiles are reviewed first. After approval your profile will automatically be placed on the first page.
If you want to publish something immediately, add a blog entry. They are not moderated.
