I wanted to share this music video that could be helpful to people considering adoption or already in the adoption process.

This is a book titled "History of Children Saving" that has some interesting things about the history of adoption in America. I found it crazy that even in the 1890's there where more people wanting to adopt than children waiting for adoption.

I want to share this article from AdoptionScams.net on how to detect and avoid adoption scams. It has good information about what to expect from an adoption agency and birthmoms. Along with what a birthmom should consider a red flag from a adoption agency or professional.

 

 

I thought birthmoms would be intersted in reading about adoptoin from a birthmoms point of view. This woman had her baby March 22, 2007 and started writing about her experinces.

My Journey as a Birthmother

This is a quote from one of her blog entrys.

"I was telling a coworker about my son's surgery and this manager looks at me and says in a disgusted tone "He's not your son anymore. You can't call him that." Ugh! At that point I just shut up and went back to work. I so wanted to find a dark corner somewhere and cry my eyes out but I couldn't since I was at work. Newsflash for the manager. Munchkin will always be my son. Yes I'm not raising him but I am his firstmother. The mother he knew for nine months while he developed. Some people just don't get it."

This is a great story about a courageous family and there special needs child. I found it truly inspiring.

I started ParentGallery.com to better serve hopeful couples who want to adopt. I have spent alot of time and money on creating the website, hoping that I could help make adoption easier for birthmoms. I pray that one day ParentGallery.com can support me and my family so I can work from home and devote all my time to it.

So far I have not made any money but the feeling I get when someone tells me they were contacted by a birthmom that found there profile on ParentGallery.com is payment enough.

I try to base the websites design and functions on the birthmoms needs because even though they are not who pays for the service, they are my first priority.

I have been in the technology industry for over 10 years and feel blessed that I am able to help birthmoms find the perfect match for their baby.

I currently live in Spring, Texas with my wife and two kids.
