adoption

Welcome

Welcome

Hello and thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family, and our life. We have so much to offer a child: a family filled with stability, love, potential, and two boys excitedly waiting to be big brothers.

We are Ray and Lois. Our family consists of a father, a mother, two loving sons, and an energetic dog. Being parents has brought us days filled with joy and laughter. We desire to have another child to cherish; love and nurture, and we look forward to expanding our family.

Adding to our family

Welcome! We are Dawn and Joe. We would like to thank you for wanting to get to know us better! We know how difficult this decision must be for you! We admire your strength and love in considering adoption!

Blogging. And making cupcakes...

Now that our profile is up and active, I figure it's time to start blogging!   Of course I'm not exactly sure what it is I have to blog about at 8:43am on this Sunday morning, but here goes.

On the adoption front, progress is slow, but moving forward.   We have appointments with a few local adoption attorneys and should be getting copies of our profile from the printers any day now.   Hoping I do not have glaring typos that will be forever saved in 150 gloss full color copies...

Home Study Approved

Our home study was officially approved. We are in search of  that special family where two families come together for the benefit of a wonderful child.

Our daughters adoption story

Hello,

A while back I posted our daughters adoption story on our family blog. Feel free to check it out: http://mandamike.com/blog/2008/04/my-train-ride-to-lilly_22.html

We are hopeful that we will be blessed again by a wonderful set of birthparents soon. If you, or someone you might know is thinking about adoption please pass our information along to them. http://www.mandamike.com

Love,

Amanda, Mike & Lilly

The road begins

Never did I think that I would be facing the same road blocks that my parents faced.  When I was 3 weeks old I was left with a babysitter and was adopted by my parents at 11 months of age.  Now here I sit with my husband researching every possible adoption agency in Colorado and surrounding states.  Until now I never fully understood all the details that went into adopting a child.  I remember a poem that my mother had cited in an article she wrote a while back and would like to share it with you all.

Not flesh of my flesh,

Nor bone of my bone,

But, Still, miraculously, my own.

Never forget for a single minute,

You did not grow under my hear,

But in it.

Here We Go!

We just posted our video profile! Can't wait to see how it looks "live". Our families are getting excited

A new journey into the unknown

Hello!  We started our adoption journey several months ago, not very long considering how long it takes for the process to go through.  But we were lucky enough to be matched up right away!  Unfortunately, that plan did not go through, so now we are back out and looking.  The future holds unknown events and situations.  But we will face it all head on.  Won't you contact us and share in this magnificent adventure?

Khayla and Raven

The newest member of the family, Raven!  (The puppy, not the kid ;-))

Loretta and Keith want to adopt again!

Our names are Loretta and Keith.  Our family is built through adoption and we are hoping to adopt another child.  Life is a brighter and richer place with Joel, Jonathan, and Jennifer in it.  Adoption works to help three parties: the adoptive family, the natural family, and the child.  You are looking for a wonderful home for your child and we are looking to open our hearts home and family to a new life.  We are very excited to unconditionally love another child and have you such a special part of it!  Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you.

Would love to adopt your baby

My husband and I would love to adopt a baby to grow our family. I’m a 38 year old Hospice Nurse and my husband is a 40 year old Occupational Therapist. We live in Fort Collins Colorado with our sweet 11 year old daughter. We had been trying to have children for the last 5 years with no success. We love children and would love to have more children. My parents have been married for 35 years and my dad is a Pediatrician and my mom is a stay at home mom. My husband’s parents have been married for 40 years and have been retired since they were 60. We have a very close extended family and love to spend our free time outdoors hiking, biking, camping and traveling. We are Catholic and attend Saint Elizabeth’s in Fort Collins.

A happy couple from Idaho ready for a sweet little one

We met and fell in love in Spring of 2000. We married later that year. we have enjoyed many opportunities to travel. We love to camp, hike, and spend our hot summer days up at the lake boating and wake boarding. Our family is very important to us and we both come from large families. We are so excited and feel so blessed to be presented with the opportunity to adopt and have felt like it was always meant to be this way. We have so much love to offer a child and we are ready to provide a life full of joy and everlasting happiness. Kansas Couple Hopeful for a Baby

Hi! We are James and Tiffany and we live in Kansas. We really want to be parents through a domestic adoption. We feel that our midwestern values of hard work, determination, honesty and loyalty are good qualities for being parents. We also have plenty of family and extended family (including great friends) to help us be the very best parents we can once we adopt.

We have been trying to be parents for a while now and while the wait is frustrating and hard, we know it will be worth it once we bring our child home. We have a lovely ranch style home with a huge back yard and plenty of fun neighbor kids around. Our beagle, Marli is ready to play with and watch over our child too.

Please consider us if you know of someone choosing an adoption plan. We would very much appreciate your help in making us parents. Best wishes from our home to yours - Tiffany

Hi there!

Hi there! For our first official blog on this site, I think I'll tell you a little more about us. If you haven't seen our website it's www.freewebs.com/jamesandtiffanyadopt. We are a married couple living in Kansas and we really want to be parents. We've been trying to be parents almost as long as we've been married (almost 5 years!). We're still hopefull it'll all work out through prayers, hope and "dreaming big" as our friends tell us to.

Still Searching ...

We've come close a couple times, but we're still searching for that special birthmother to help us fulfill our dream of becoming parents. If you or anyone you know is considering an adoption plan for their child, please keep us in mind! -liz & steve

Finally a overview of the entire adoption process that does not take all day to read.

This is a great overview about adoption from one of my favorite websites HowStuffWorks.com

How Adoption Works

Adoption scams and how to detect them.

I want to share this article from AdoptionScams.net on how to detect and avoid adoption scams. It has good information about what to expect from an adoption agency and birthmoms. Along with what a birthmom should consider a red flag from a adoption agency or professional.
