 Hello and Welcome! We are Caroline and Dan, a happy couple hoping to begin our family through adoption. Thank you for taking a moment to read our profile. Together since we met while playing roller hockey in 1998 and married in 2002, there hasn't been a time when we didn't want children. In fact, children and raising them were a couple of the first topics that came up when we were dating. We bought our large house on a big lot and a car with children in mind soon after we were married. Sadly, it was not to be our fate to be able to have a biological child; however,  through hope, faith, and a lot of love, we prayerfully turned to adoption.

Neither side of the family is a stranger to the adoption world. Dan's sister, Diane, was adopted by Dan's father Merritt, her stepfather. Caroline's grandmother was adopted as a small child after her mother's death. Cousin Theresa in Wisconsin adopted her son from Guatemala. So, grafting new branches onto the family tree is nothing new. Both sides of the family have readily jumped on board and excitedly join us on this journey.

We thank you for taking the time to read our profile, out of so many deserving potential parents in your consideration. This journey is such a leap of faith, for us on our own difficult but now happy and hopeful road... but especially for you, as you choose who will have the privilege and the joy of raising the most precious person in your life: your child.

We cannot possibly understand the truly difficult decision you have to make, but we honor it, are mindful of it, and deeply respect you for it.

Rest assured that if we are blessed to create a home for your child, that he or she will know of your love, your sacrifice, your concern for the child, and will know from his or her earliest days of your gift of a lifetime.

We can discuss a range of openness, from closed to semi-open, that will satisfy everyone concerned.
