Hi there!
It is January 24th, 2010. At about 5:30PM
I am taking a little break. Dinner is on the stove and the kids are all (patiently, lol) waiting and playing (oh so quietly...NOT!) while it is cooking. Tonight it is....dun dun dun.......pot roast. Oddly enough, it is one of their faves. =) So they are pretty stoked. :) We have dinners at the table as much as we can. It is important to us. To have that time together. Especially as the kids are getting older. We had gotten a little off track with it for a couple of weeks, but are working hard to get back on schedule with it. It is too important to us to let it slip. Even when it seems so much easier to let them eat while watching tv. It is just not what we want for them. Or our family.
Blah Blah...boring you yet? lol. What was I even talking about?? Ah yes....
Hubby gave me a little break this evening (which he will often do, what a sweetie!) and he got dinner started. While I was giving our little one a bath (one of my stepdaughters, she is actually going back to her moms this evening). He got the dinner going AND got the kids all settled down. Ahhhhh....niiice.. We are all going to try to fit in a game or maybe a movie tonight? I don't know yet which one?? Hm? Anyway, after din din we will do that. Before we go back to the "earlier" bedtime. Now that the weekend is over. =(
So it is a quite night here at our house. A nice Sunday evening. Before all the craziness starts tomorrow. Gotta love those Monday mornings. Lol. We recently just moved to our dream home. Out in a quiet small town. Called La Center. It is in Washington. Anyway...we have kept all the kids on their schools that they were alreadt attending. So as not to disrupt the friendships and sense of being comfortable that they have at their schools.
Anyway, long story short.....that means that we have to get the kids up and moving and out the door an extra 30 minutes each morning. Siiiigh. Lol. It of course has ll been worth it. So that the kids can stay at the schools they are comfortable at....but...sheesh... those Mondays can be killer. Lol. Our oldest 2 are in middle school, and the youngest still in elementary. So by the time we get the older kids off to school, we are rushing back to get the younger ones ready to go. Since the middle school starts about an hour and fifteen earlier than the elementary.
I just posted my "Dear Birthmom/birthparents" letter yesterday. And it has not yet shown up on this site? Hm? Hope all is ok. ?? Well, I guess I am just testing out this blog thing. If our profile does not show up by tomorrow. I will go ahead and re-post.
Ok, Gotta run. Break is over.
